Dbay Photography | About

I am Sue.

I am a wife, a mother, a midwife, and an award-winning photographer. I specialise in shooting beautiful maternity and newborn images. I am based in Discovery Bay in Hong Kong.

The first few weeks of a baby’s life are a blur. It passes so quickly and then suddenly this tiny bundle is smiling, laughing, walking… Growing up. In my primary career as a midwife, I have helped so many parents navigate these first few weeks in their new role. As I photographer, I freeze those moments in time.

I have always been creative. I knit, I sew, I crochet, paint and even have a massage qualification! My photography started as a hobby, which has grown as friends, families, and then clients asked me to help capture those early days.

I love being able to capture their little fingers and toes, the cute noses and pouty lips. The little rolls of cute chubbiness. I use natural light to capture your images, this provides beautiful, softly lit photographs and means I bring less bulky equipment and need less space.  I travel to your home, to avoid disruption to the baby and I also know you have enough to do in the early days!

Of course, before the birth, there are nine months of pregnancy. Its not just about the baby. Parents are on a journey too. Let me capture your growing bump and the beautiful transformation of your body as your baby grows.

Pregnancy, birth, and newborn babies are life changing, tiring, but beautiful events that don’t come along so often. Capture them. Freeze time. Create memories.

I invite you to a photoshoot experience that will change the way you see yourself and give your loved ones a lasting legacy.
